Hello guys !
Time flies ! These last weeks, I gave you many tips to help you become a good Youtuber. To end this beautiful trip, I wanted to make something special. And for that, I've decided to contact a french Youtuber,
Gabriel Clément, and to interview him. I really thank him for that. I'm not going to publish the whole interview, because it's a bit long, but I want to give you the main ideas. If you want the whole transcription, just send me an e-mail. Just so you know, Gabriel Clément makes one video every day and he lives thanks to his Youtube channel with the same business model as Antoine Blanchemaison. I've chosen the 10 most interesting questions I've asked to Gabriel Clément to understand better the life of a Youtuber. Hope you'll like it !
1) Hi Gabriel. Could you present your channel in a few words ?
The main theme of my channel is habits. How we can change each and every aspect of our life, achieve our objectives through little daily actions that we are going to repeat, again and again, and that are automated.
2) Was it difficult to shoot your first video ?
Yes !! When you have never done that, it's unnatural. I prepared the subject of my video, and I told myself "globally, that's what I want to say".
3) Now do you write the scripts of your videos, or just outlines ?
Just outlines, but detailed outlines.
4) Is it difficult to be spontaneous behind the camera ?
Now it is easy, but before it was very difficult. To make good videos, you have to be natural, that is to say to talk like I'm talking to you right now. And you can manage to do that only by training, again and again and again and again.
Now when I see the first videos I made, I realized I was less natural. So you have to pay attention to two things : how you make your videos, and how you are in your videos.
5) How do you organize your days ?
So I've got a morning ritual : meditation, visualization, and I take a shower. After that, I do languages, as I learn Japanese. After that, I work on editing with the last video I have filmed. Then I film a video and and I prepare the next one.
6) Between editing, filming, preparation... is it long to make one video ?
I need one hour. It's not a lot, but the video is only the part you can see ! I also have to think about my premium content, or to read. I could work less, but I love it. I think I could work between 4 and 5 hours every day, week-ends included.
7) Do you like reading ?
Yes, I like personal development in the broad sense. It can be psychology, about stress, habits, or even marketing.
8) Do many people buy your premium content ?
Usually, on a selling page, the conversion rate will be between 2% and 4%. For me, it's 3%. It means if 100 persons go on your page, between 2 and 4 people will buy your product. So if you have a large audience, you will be able to sell more of your private content.
9) How do people see you, what relation do they have with you ?
I think I'm between their friend and their mentor. We are not experts, we are very close to our followers. Maybe I'm inspiring ? That is the idea I want them to have about me.
10) To finish with, I would like to ask you THE essential question : do you think everyone can become a Youtuber ?
Yes, I think everybody can. If you really want it, you can, nothing is impossible. I think Tibo Inshape's business model is really complicated. Mine is not easy, but more accessible. However, it requires investment. But the thing is, we live in a society in which people want good results very quickly. Many people stops because when they start, they don't understand how hard you have to work. But if you are patient, you can succeed, for example in 2 years.
Now you have a better idea of what you need to think about to become a youtuber ! Regularity, being close to your audience, being passionate and persevering. Ready, steady... go !!!
